When to contact us

The advocates that monitor this website do not give medical advice. The advocates are not here to replace your medical doctors, diagnosis, or advice on any medical conditions or treatments. The advocate's purpose is to assist you in making your complaints or problems known.

If you are experiencing medical problems such as uncontrolled vomitting, severe pain, swelling, bleeding, dizzines, confusion, fever, drainage from incision site, or any other medical problems; CALL 911 OR HAVE SOMEONE TAKE YOU TO YOUR LOCAL EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATELY!  The emergency room doctors will contact the transplant center for you, do not wait for someone to return your call in an emergency situation.

Contact us after you are treated by a doctor. You many have someone contact concerning the problems while you are under medical care. If you have been seen by doctors and/or your transplant center is dismissing your problems, you may contact us. We will forward your complaints to proper agencies such as JCAHO, the transplant center and other agencies. It is our belief the more people who are aware of your issues, the more chance of resolution.

You may send your complaint or any Living Organ Donor concerns to the address below via U.S. Postal service. If you have a complaint or personal information that needs to go to the Administrator, please place - Attention: Administrator, under the LODAP name.
